Celebrating Young Talent, Sportsmanship and the Spirit of Excellence
Professor was proud to support the Jejak Juara Project, a badminton initiative that brought together thousands of young students and their families in a celebration of sports, determination and youthful talent.
The journey began with the Jejak Juara Project Official Launching on 22 August 2022 at Dewan Bahasa & Pustaka, Kuala Lumpur.
The launch marked the beginning of an initiative involving schools across Kuala Lumpur, with principals from 292 primary and secondary schools coming together to support the development of young badminton players.
The project continued with the Jejak Juara Project KL Closed Official Launching on 13 April 2023 at SK Sri Bintang Selatan, Kuala Lumpur, before reaching its highlight with the Jejak Juara Project Tournament 2023.
A Nine-Day Celebration of Badminton
Originally scheduled for May, the tournament was rescheduled due to the heatwave and was eventually held from 18 to 26 June 2023 at SK Sri Bintang Selatan, Kuala Lumpur.
Over the nine-day tournament, an impressive 3,316 student players, accompanied by their parents, took part in the event. The tournament featured both Primary and Secondary school categories, with dedicated halls and badminton courts allocated to accommodate the large number of participants.
The first three days focused on player registration, followed by a series of scheduled matches throughout the tournament. As the competition progressed, players competed with determination and sportsmanship, with the number of participants gradually narrowing after each round.
The excitement reached its peak on Day 8, when the remaining players competed in the Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals. The tournament concluded on Day 9 with the Finals, where young athletes gave their best performance in pursuit of the championship.
A total of 48 winners were ultimately recognised for their achievements.
A Record-Recognised Sporting Achievement
The Jejak Juara 2023 tournament also marked a significant milestone, receiving recognition from the Malaysia Book of Records as the “Largest Badminton Tournament 2023.”
The tournament brought together thousands of students and their families, creating a remarkable platform for young badminton enthusiasts to compete, gain valuable experience and share their passion for the sport.
As part of the event's sponsorship, Eragreen Uniform Sdn Bhd, the company behind Professor, was presented with a certificate of appreciation for its contribution to the Kejohanan Badminton Tertutup Kuala Lumpur – Jejak Juara 2023.
Supporting the Next Generation
For Professor, supporting Jejak Juara was more than simply being part of a sporting event. It was an opportunity to support young individuals as they developed important values that extend beyond the badminton court.
Through sports, young people learn the importance of discipline, perseverance, focus, confidence and sportsmanship. Every training session, match and challenge provides an opportunity to learn, improve and strive for excellence.
Professor believes that every young champion starts with an opportunity — an opportunity to participate, to challenge themselves and to discover what they are capable of achieving.
We are honoured to have been part of the Jejak Juara 2023 journey and to have contributed to a memorable sporting event that brought together students, parents, schools and the wider community.
Professor is proud to support young talent, inspire active lifestyles and encourage the next generation to pursue their dreams with confidence and determination.
